<p>Air cleaner which directs dirty air onto the surface of a scrubbing liquid (41, 141) plus recirculates the scrubbing liquid (41, 141) and air contaminants through a cleaning liquid (43, 143). Additionally, filters (17, 117) may be provided across the recirculation path of the scrubbing liquid (41, 141). This two liquid system provides a sufficient volume to establish a good recirculation pattern for practical scrubbing and also minimizes the amount of scrubbing liquid (41, 141); the two liquids may be oil (the scrubbing liquid (41, 141) floating on water (the cleaning liquid (43, 143)). </p> |
