PURPOSE:To improve the shape of a build-up bead by detecting the state of a molten pool formed in the stage of welding and changing the magnetic flux to be acted on the part to be build-up welded. CONSTITUTION:A titled device consists of electromagnets 2, 2' with are disposed near both side ends of a belt-like electrode 1, a molten pool 3 which is formed in the stage of welding, a detector 6 which detects the luminance or temp. near said pool, and an electromagnet control device 7 with controls the magnetic flux of the electromagnets 2, 2' by the output from the detector 6 to correct the flowing of the molten pool 3. The magnets 2, 2' generate the magnetic field in parallel with the plate plane of the member to be build-up welded. The good shape of the build-up bead is obtd. by the above-mentioned device. |
