PURPOSE:To average the load of a facsimile driving device by providing a driving source carrying an original in forward drive and operating a cutter in reverse drive and another drive source carrying recording paper in forward drive and carrying backward the recording paper in reverse drive. CONSTITUTION:When a motor 28 is driven forward, a platen roller 16 is driven via a belt 30 and a pulley 27a and the recording paper is carried. When the motor 28 is driven reversely, the platen roller 16 is also reversed and the recording paper is carried backward. A discharge roller 20 is driven always counterclockwise by one-way clutches 32, 36. An original carrying roller is driven forward via pulleys 43, 44 at the forward drive of a motor 40. A gear 57 is not driven in this case by one-way clutch 56. When the motor 40 is reversed, a shaft 47 is not driven by the operation of one-way clutch and the original is not carried. The gear 57 is driven in this case, a cutter operating body 66 is driven by the turning of a cutter cam 60 and the cutting operation is attained.
