PURPOSE:To detect automatically the staining of a lens by stopping down laser light emitted by a light emitting element to a suitable diverging angle by an optical means for emitting light such as a convex lens or a concave mirror, etc. to diverge to the prescribed direction of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A detecting device has a light emitting and photodetecting part 100 for emitting laser light and photodetecting reflected light reflected by an obstacle, a signal processing and operating part 200, a display alarm circuit 300, etc. The light emitting and photodetecting part is provided with a light emitting element (laser diode) 11 for emitting the laser light, a convex lens (light emitting lens) for emitting the light 12, and a convex lens (photodetecting lens) for photodetecting 13. In this case, the convex lens step down the emitted laser light to the suitable diverging angle and makes it diverge to the prescribed direction of a vehicle. According to such a constitution, the staining of lens can be detected automatically. |
