PURPOSE:A cosmetic that is obtained by adding a specific silicone oil, thus not being dusty, resistant to make-up collapse to keep flexible cosmetic films and to caking of cakes in change with time and safe, because of less irritation to skins. CONSTITUTION:The objective cosmetic contains a silicone oil of the formula (m, n show the degree of polymerization ranging from 3-497 and m+n is 6-500, preferably 45-200). The inclusion of the silicone oil in a cosmetic develops the effect of wetting the powder surfaces uniformly without solubilization in either skin fat or water and makes thin and uniform films of high strength by reaction with the functional groups on the powder surfaces to prevent the skins from feeling turlchy and dry. The desirable amount of the silicone oil is 1.0-50wt%, preferably 6-30wt%, based on the cosmetic powder. The silicone may be also used as a treating agent for a powder and 100pts.wt. of a powder such as mica or silica powder is coated with 1.0-2.0pts.wt. of the silicone oil and the product is added to the cosmetic as a powder treated with silicone. |
