The invention refers to a decomposition machine of the drum refiner type with a stand (2), holding a stationary drum (3), in which a sieve drum (5) is a rotor body (6) with a hammer (7) rotating. The hammers (7) co-operate with at least one fixed beater tackle (15) in the sieve drum (5). The rotating parts (5, 6) are motor-driven and rotate in the same direction. A scraper (16) is set up in the rotational direction in front of the beater tackle or every beater tackle (15) and this scraper (16) lifts up material, which rests against the inner surface of the sieve drum (5) and which cannot press through the holes in this, to a processing area between the hammers (7) and the beater tackle or each beater tackle (15).
