The circuit breaker is fitted beside the battery and comprises a box, two horizontal spring grips (E) with connection lugs (A) outside the box, and two conductive cylinders stacked (F) end on, one on top of the other, with the stacked pair fitted transversely between the spring grips. The cylinders are tapered near the ends which are in contact to facilitate separation, and remain true at the ends in contact with the spring grips. - The grips have a dished region where the cylinders make contact. In the event of a strong impact the two cylinders experience a transverse force and separate at the central meeting point, thus breaking the electrical circuit.
