A ventilation device for motor vehicles has a blower (5) (Fig. 1), which can be arranged for example on existing ventilation openings (4) in the roof supports (3), at the lower edge of the rear window or at the parcel shelf, in an existing tiltable sliding roof and the like. It is however also possible to provide in the roof region a comparatively small ventilation opening in which a blower (5) is then arranged. However, despite the small cross-section of the opening, good ventilation of the passenger compartment is obtained by virtue of the support of the blower (5). <IMAGE>
