The device is intended for storing and dispensing a large number of different components during mounting or assembly operations. It comprises a series of rotary containers (1) mounted so as to slide on a vertical shaft (4). These containers are suspended from one another by flexible members (10). In the storage position (2), the containers rest on one another in a reduced space. In the dispensing position (3), each container has, with respect to the container immediately above, a vertical spacing (9) which is sufficient for the operator's hand. The device can be used particularly when mounting printed circuits. <IMAGE>
