PURPOSE:To obtain a printer which can be manufactured at low cost and enables printing with low noise and at high speed, by a construction wherein the ink supplied into the printing orifices of a multihole member is jetted onto a recording sheet by a force of jet from a head. CONSTITUTION:The jetting ports 16a-16g of a printing head, which is installed on a carriage 10 being moved in the direction Ya by the driving power of a pulse motor, come opposite sequentially to new one of the printing orifices 17a of a multihole member 17. Preceding the printing head 16, an ink supply roller 19b supplies ink to each of the printing orifices 17a of the multihole member 17. When air is jetted selectively from the jetting ports 16a-16g of the printing head corresponding to the movement of the carriage 10 in the direction Ya, the ink in the printing orifices 17a positioned opposite to said ports is blown to stick onto a recording sheet S, and thereby one-dot printing is performed. When the movement of the carriage 10 in the direction Ya is matched with the timing of the air jet from the jetting ports 16a-16g, a character, a numeral or the like composed in a dot matrix is drawn on the recording sheet S. |
