PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition containing an aliphatic hydrocarbon oil, a specified thickener, polytrifluorochloroethylene and castor oil and exhibiting consistent contact resistance and insulation resistance on contacts for very low current for signal switchover and for medium current. CONSTITUTION:The composition contains (A) 100pts.wt. aliphatic hydrocarbon oil of the formula (where R is 3-12C alkyl; n is 1-6), (B) 0.1-20pts.wt. lithium hydroxystearate as thickener, (C) 0.1-10pts.wt. polytrifluorochloroethylene and (D) 0.1-20pts.wt. castor oil. (B) imparts viscosity to (A) and stabilizes friction coefficient up to about 100 deg.C. (C) stabilizes contact resistance in performance life test under load and (D) promotes dispersion of products formed by wear of contact in the above-mentioned test. Thus the composition has consistent contact resistance and insulation resistance on contacts for very low current for signal switchover and for medium current. |
