PURPOSE:To obviate any accidents attendant upon an outflow of fresh gas, by rolling in a cock closing spring in time of turning a handle round up to an opening position and storing mechanical energy inside, while making a main gas cock closable automatically by means of the stored kinetic energy of the cock closing spring in time of anything trouble such as a gas leakage, an earthquake and so on. CONSTITUTION:In case of opening a main gas cock, when a handle 21 of a handle part F is turned round in an arrow direction while holding it, a cock closing spring G is rolled in from its relaxedness and thereby mechanical energy is stored, while a cock inside a body A comes into a state of being valve-opened. At this valve opening state, in the handle part F, a stopper 25 engages one of claw parts 23 installed on the periphery of its clamping plate 22 whereby the cock closing spring G is held in an energy storing state. Under this condition, for example, if a gas leakage happens and a solenoid K is excited by dint of the output of a gas detector, a U-shaped plunger 32 is attracted upward. If so, a lever H is turned round centering on a fulcrum point 27 and binding engagement in the handle part F by the stopper 25 is released so that the handle part F, namely, a gas cock is closed in a moment by the cock closing spring G. |
