PURPOSE:To save time and telephone charge greatly by omitting a tonal procedure when the next original is inserted when original transmission is completed, and transmitting a picture signal continuously. CONSTITUTION:A control part 101 has a CPU, ROM, RAM, control part, etc., and controls the whole device according to a program stored in the ROM. Picture information read by an original read part 116 is modulated by a modulator and demodulator (modem) 102 and sent out to a telephone circuit 120 through an NCU (network controller) 103. This NCU103 switches circuits between a telephone set 107 for origination and termination and a facsimile equipment succeeding the modulator and demodulator 102 and is controlled by the control part 101. When an untransmitted original is set, they are transmitted as a long-sized original of connected originals and the tonal procedure between the originals is omitted. |
