PURPOSE:To record a queue signal without using a specific head and without degrading the quality of a video signal by using a whole width erasing head in common with a queue signal recording head, and switching the frequency of a signal to be applied to the erase head. CONSTITUTION:An erase signal oscillator 19 oscillates, for instance, an erase signal with f1=80kHz. A queue signal oscillator 20 oscillates, for instance, a queue signal with f2=70-80Hz. Said erase signal and queue signal are selected by a switch 23 through amplifiers 21, 22 respectively and the selected signal is applied to the erase head 3. In case of forming a tape format, the switch 23 is turned to the contact (a) side during the period a tape 2 travels from a point (c) to a point (f), and turned to the contact (b) side during the period of travelling from (b) to (c) and from (f) to (g) so that the queue signal is applied to the head 3. |
