PURPOSE:To increase erasing force so as to erase a magnetic tape up to its deep part sufficiently with a simple constitution by constituting erase cores so that the same poles are adjacent to each other. CONSTITUTION:Parts 1-3 are a shielding case, its opening and an erase core respectively. The erase core 3 is constituted by adhering two right and left core parts 3a, 3b and these cores 3a, 3b are arranged adjacently so that both the N poles are allowed to contact with a tape. Namely, the erase core 3 is constituted so that the N poles are adjacent to each other on the front side. In said constitution, repulsion is applied by the same poles adjacent to magnetic flux F from the N pole to the S pole as shown in the figure. Since the repulsion is applied to the thickness direction of the tape, said magnetic flux F reaches the deep part of the tape magnetic layer and the magnetic tape is sufficiently erased. |
