The system for producing a hollow body has a plurality, preferably four, workstations I to IV, in which clamping frame pairs (3, 4 to 9, 10) are introduced in sequence by means of a turntable (10), the number of clamping frame pairs corresponding to the number of workstations. Each of these clamping frame pairs holds a thermoplastic sheet (12), (13), which sheets are placed into the individual clamping frames in the workstation I, heated in the workstation II and moulded in the workstation III to form partial mouldings, whereupon the partial mouldings are welded together while still in the hot state in the same workstation. The finished part is removed in the subsequent fourth workstation. <IMAGE>
