Telecommunication terminal with automatic switching from 4-wire to 2-wire operation. The terminal is provided with a voltage sensing circuit (5) sensing the way in which DC voltage is fed to the terminal, and in response thereto controlling switches (8, 11) which switch the terminal to prevailing operation conditions.
