<p>PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of regeneration without receiving any influence of exhaust gas, by giving no directional properties to the permeability of a trap body during collection of particles in the exhaust gas, while installing a regenerating nozzle in a device which makes air inflow in crossing at a right angle with the circulating direction of the exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:In a space between exhaust pipes 10 and 11 of a Diesel engine, there is provided with a trap 12 which collects particles in exhaust gas, and this trap 12 is constituted of a ceramc form filter being coated with a platinum catalyzer, having no directional properties in its permeability. On the other hand, at the periphery of the trap 12, a casing 13 is installed, through which air is so designed as to be fed to an injection chamber 15 via a partition member 14 from a fan 21 by crossing at a right angle with the circulating direction of the exhaust gas. At the center of the partition member 14, there is provided with a regenerating fuel injection nozzle 16 through which fuel for regeneration use is so designed as to be spouted via a fuel pump 19, a fuel pipe 17 and a solenoid valve 18.</p> |
