PURPOSE:To make it possible to restore the energy of a superconductive coil into a storage battery when the coil is dagaussed, by constituting a circuit for varying the current flowing through the superconductive coil by the use of a storage battery and variable resistors. CONSTITUTION:To decrease current under a current holding state, the resistance value of a variable resistor 10 is increased until the voltage drop thereat becomes subsantially equal to the voltage of a storage battery 3. With the respective resistance values of variable resistors 5, 8 set at zero, the current flowing through the coil is supplied to a circuit for charging the battery 3, and the resistance value of the variable resistor 10 is increased to maximum. When the coil current is close to zero, the resistance value of the variable resistor 10 is set such that the voltage drop by the coil current is substantially equal to the voltage generated by the batter 3, and the coil current is supplied to the variable resistor 10. With the respective resistance values of the variable resistors 5, 8 increased to maximum, the battery 3 is separaed, and the coil current is attenuated by the resistor 10. |
