<p>PURPOSE:To make the input easy, by forming a coordinate input plate with materials through which invisible rays are transmitted and providing plural parallel masks, a which intercept invisible rays, in the X-Y direction and inputting characters with a light pen including invisible rays. CONSTITUTION:A coordinate input plate 3 is formed with materials through which invisible rays are transmitted, and many visual characters 4 are displayed on the front face,and plural parallel masks 5 which intercept invisible rays are provided in the X-Y directions on the rear face to form a matrix. A desired character 4 on the coordinate input plate 3 is irradiated with a light pen 1 including invisible rays. Invisible rays A are reflected by mirrors 6 and 7 and are condenced by a lens 8 and pass through a filter 9, which only invisible rays are transmitted through, and are picked up by a device 10 and are inputted to a coordinate recognizing circuit 10. X and Y coordinates corresponding to the irradiated character are attained, and a character code stored in an ROM which is not shown in Fig. is read out by this coordinate value and is outputted. Thus, many characters are inputted easily.</p> |
