PURPOSE:To obtain a picture with clear surrounding by outputting an image signal to a part corresponding to a rectangular image area designated in advance and an electric signal of a predetermined level to other parts than the said part so as to bring the surrounding of the output image into a desired density. CONSTITUTION:A line counter 1 of a surrounding density setting device of an image counts a start signal c1 from a reader. Further, y-coordinate y1, y2 of the image of the rectangular area are inputted to registers 2, 3 by key-in or the like, an output of the registers 2, 3 is applied to the 1st comparator circuit 4, and when the count value of the counter 1 is larger than the coordinate y1 and smaller than the y2, the circuit 4 adds a signal of H level to an AND gate 9. Further, a dot counter 5 is cleared by the signal c1 so as to count a dot signal (d) and coordinates x1, x2 are inputted to registers 6, 7. Moreover, the count value and the coordinates x1, x2 are compared by the 2nd comparator circuit 8, the result is fed to a gate 9, the output of the gate 9 controls a selector 10 so as to bring the surrounding of the output image to a desired density. |
