PURPOSE:To contrive facilitation of manufacture and an improvement in durability, by constituting a valve mechanism interlocking with a steering operation changing over feed and discharge of hydraulic oil to a power cylinder with combination of a plurality of plates a part of which is made of a sintered material. CONSTITUTION:As for the titled device, a rack 1a formed unitarily with a piston 1 is slided in an axial direction through a stub shaft 15 and a pinion 5a, which is turned through a torsion bar and a pinion shaft 5, by an operation of a steering wheel, and in this instance, a slide of a piston 1 is assisted by hydraulic oil to be fed into and discharged from each of operating chambers 3, 4 located on both sides of the piston 1. In this case, a valve mechanism controlling feed and discharge of the hydraulic oil is constituted with a first plate 18 made of sintered material to be inserted into a housing part 5b2 of the pinion shaft 5 and a second plate 19 to be arranged in a state of sliding contact with the plate 18. Then changeover of an oil path is carried out through a rotation of the second plate 19 connected with a stub shaft 13 through a pin 13a by making the first plate 18 work together. |
