PURPOSE:To collect a powdered essence component of a raw material such as snapping turtle, etc. in a state wherein an offensive smell is completely removed by dehydration treatment with an oil, and to recover separately a fatty component contained in the raw material itself. CONSTITUTION:A raw material such as snapping turtle, earthworm, Mamushi (a kind of pit viper), oyster, eel, etc. is cut into a given size or thinly, immersed in a hot oil such as lard, vet, etc. having a melting point higher than a fatty component contained in the raw material, dehydrated at about 100-150 deg.C for about 1-3hr under heating, an oil is removed from the raw material by sprinkling n-hexane, etc. on it, it is powdered and collected as an essence component. The hot oil is cooled to a temperature lower than the melting point of the hot oil and higher than the melting point of the fatty component in the raw material, and the fatty component in a molten state is separated and recovered from the coagulated hot oil. |
