Use of D,L- and L-carazolol as antiglaucoma agent and pharmaceutical compositions which contain these substances

The invention relates to racemic 1-(carbazol-4-yloxy)-3-(isopropylamino)-2-propanol (D,L-carazolol) and optically active L-carazolol and the pharmacologically tolerated salts thereof for topical administration for glaucoma therapy and to eyedrops which contain these active substances in a concentration of 0.005 to 0.03% and 0.001 to 0.1% respectively.
