PURPOSE:To accurately detect the defect of an arm by detecting the defect of the arm of an inverter due to the difference of waveforms between a drive signal and a DC input current. CONSTITUTION:Base drive units 18, 18', 18'', 18''' with self-interrupting function are respectively added to transistors 4-7 which constructs the arms of an inverter. When the transistors 4-7 normally operate, a base drive signal is applied to the bases of the transistors 4-7. When any of the collector currents of the transistors 4-7 increases higher than the specified value, the units 18, 18', 18'', 18''' operate independently from the mode of the base drive signal of the control circuit, thereby interrupting the base drive signal. |
