<p>The system for making prefabricated buildings uses metal sheets, angled metal sections and wooden beams to make up basic rectangular cells. A base can be constructed from a shallow rectangular frame with vertical sides, inside which fits a flat plate forming a floor. A similar construction is used for a roof or ceiling, and this is supported by vertical angles with return flanges. Further sheets form the sides and walls. The whole can be welded together where metal components are used. The interior of the rectangular frame is reinforced by vertical stiffeners and horizontal flanges and the angles incorporate stiffeners inside, spaced apart over their length. Larger panels can also be reinforced by a grid of stiffeners.</p> |
