PURPOSE:To obtain excellent reflection preventing effect by loading a plate glass having a low reflectivity, which is subjected to a multilayer film processing using a silicon resin having a refraction index in the specified range as a bonding and filling agent, to the external surface of the face plate. CONSTITUTION:A cathode ray tube 21 is composed of a face plate 23 of which internal surface a phosphor surface 22 is deposited and a fan mill 26 which includes a neck 25 comprising an electron gun 24. An AR panel 28 which has completed multilayer film vacuum-deposition processing having a direct reflectivity of 0.2% or less for the light other than the sensible light using a silicon resin 27 in the reflection index of 1.43 to 1.61 as the bonding and filling agent is loaded to the surface face plate 23. The depositing surface of internal surface of face plate 23, namely of the phosphor surface 22 has the average roughness of 0.5delta to 3delta at the 10 points. With such structure, a cathode ray tube which shows least reflection at the internal and external surfaces of face plate 23 can be obtained. |
