PURPOSE:To execute an input of a character pattern even in case of a small- sized electronic apparatus by constituting a titled device so that a human body contact coordinate position is detected from a capacity component of a touch electrode whose value of a contact capacity component is the maximum, and that of its adjacent touch electrode. CONSTITUTION:A data (a) outputted by a control part when a character recognizing processing is executed is impressed to a decoder 21. This data (a) is decoded by the decoder 21, converted to signals 1-16, and supplied to corresponding transmission gates G1-G16. Also, the input side of the gates G1-G16 are connected to output terminals of corresponding touch electrodes T1-TF, respectively. Also, a signal (f) synchronizing with a high frequency signal (d) outputted from a timing signal generating circuit 22 through an AND gate is impressed to a clock input terminal CK of a counter 25, and counted. As a result, a count value of the counter 25 becomes proportional to magnitude of a contact capacity component of the electrodes T1-TF, and its count value is sent out to an RAM and an arithmetic part. |
