PURPOSE:To prevent driving loss by placing an electromagnetic clutch between an engine drive supercharger and internal-combustion engine then controlling power supply to the electromagnetic clutch through a pressure switch to be turned off in low engine load region while stopping the supercharger under low load. CONSTITUTION:Under low engine load, relatively high suction negative pressure is fed through a pressure path 32 into a pressure chamber 28 in a pressure switch 24 thereby a diaphragm 26 is moved upward against a spring 36 to separate a contactor 42 from a terminal 44. Consequently power is not supplied to an electromagnetic clutch 18 and a supercharger 8 is stopped under declutched state. While upon increase of load to lower suction negative pressure, the diaphragm 26 is moved downward through a spring 36 to contact the contactor 42 with the terminal 44. Consequently said clutch 18 is clutched upon power supply to transmit the driving force of internal-combustion engine 2 through transmission containing a belt 14 and said clutch 18 to the supercharger 8 thus to activate it. |
