Uncleaned building debris (36) is thrown via a feed belt (4) into a water bath (37). Floating parts, e.g. pieces of wood, are conveyed away by means of a rake belt (3). The heavy fractions of building debris are removed from the water bath by a bucket wheel (2) and conveyed to a delivery chute (10). Small, low-density parts float near the bucket wheel (2) and enter overflow troughs (18) which open into a collecting trough (17). This leads to a dewatering device (5) in which the parts deposit on a screen (25) and are stripped from this by means of brushes (30). Reusable building debris can be recovered by the process with inexpensive means.

|
