<p>Fiber lubricant compositions having unusual lubricating properties for spunbonded, nonwoven polypropylene carpet backing are disclosed. A needle-tufted carpet, prepared from a carpet backing bearing a composition of this invention, has unexpectedly high strength and unexpectedly low flammability. The compositions of this invention comprising a mixture of butyl stearate and certain silicone-glycol copolymers, are useful as a lubricant for synthetic fibers, in general.</p> |
