PURPOSE:To obtain a seaweed tidbit having the taste and flavor suitable for the use, economically, by seasoning ground seaweed, extruding in the form of a thin flat web, baking and drying both faces of the web, and cutting and slicing to a proper shape. CONSTITUTION:Seaweeds such as tangle, laver, etc. are washed thoroughly in a washer A, crushed and ground by the crusher B, and mixed with starch, vegetable protein, seasoning, or other ground seaweeds in a blender C furnished with a microwave heating apparatus D. The mixture is sent through the transfer pipe 4 to the extruder 5 by the pump E, and extruded in the form of a thin flat web 6 on an endless conveyor 7. The upper surface of the web is baked by the heating wall 10 furnished with heat radiator 11, and the web is transferred to the reversely moving endless conveyor 13 to bake the reverse face by the heat radiator 17 attached to the shielding plate 16. The baked raw material 6 is dried in the hot-air drier G, cooled by the winder H, delivered from the delivery roll 20, and cut to the size suitable for various applications to obtain the final product. |
