PURPOSE:To provide a casting machine which smoothes the connection between a bending part and setting part, as well as a perpendicular part, constant arc part and horizontal part and disperses strain by disposing rolls in such a way that the rate of an increase or the rate of an increase the decrease in the change rate of curvature at even one roll section or every prescribed distance along the casting direction attains a specified value or below. CONSTITUTION:Rolls of a titled continuous casting machine are so disposed as to satisfy the equation I where the radius of curvature of the roll section having both ends consisting of the (i-1)th roll 3 and the (i)th roll 4 is designated as Ri-1, the radius of curvature of the roll 4 and the (i+1)th roll 5 as R1, the radius of curvature in the roll section having both ends consisting of the (i+1)th roll 5 and the (i+2)th roll 6 as Ri+1 and N as the total number of the roll sections. The rate of an increase per roll section in the difference in the curvature between the adjacent roll sections is thus prevented from exceeding 50% of the max. value of the difference in the curvature of the adjacent roll sections. The rolls are disposed to satisfy the equation II to prevent the rate of an increase and the rate of a decrease per roll section of the difference in the curvature between the adjacent roll sections from exceeding 50% of the max. value of the difference in the curvature between the adjacent roll sections. |
