Combustion engine ignition testing device

The device uses a pulse generating circuit which can provide synchronisable electrical pulses which are supplied to the engine spark plugs for combustion of the fuel mixture. The pulse generating circuit is synchronised with an electrical pulse signal provided at the output of the engine ignition system. Pref. the pulse generating circuit employs a controlled thyristor and its control input is supplied from the output of a monostable circuit which is also connected to earth via a photodiode and coupled to the base of a npn transistor via a resistor.
