The invention relates to a coupling piece for split spindles of fittings, for example, and aims to increase reliability, particularly in the case of quick-acting slide valves, by reducing shocks during closure. The coupling piece comprises two mutually opposite pins 9, 10 which are mounted in a clasp 11 which is provided with a sleeve 8 and with projections 12, 13 engaging in grooves 14, 15 on the circumference of the pins, the clasp being mounted displaceably at least in one groove 14. The aim stated is achieved by the fact that the sleeve of the clasp 11 is formed by an elastic member 8 which is clamped between two plates 1, 2 fixed to the pins 9, 10, there being an axial play a between the pins 9, 10. <IMAGE>
