<p>PURPOSE:To save labor and electric power by turning on and off the power source of a voice recognizing and responding device under the control of a host computer. CONSTITUTION:Commands from the host computer 1 are transmitted to an MODEM 3 detects the carrier signal and supplies a carrier detection signal CD to the voice recognizing device 4. The swith driving circuit of the device 4 turns on a main power source 6 when the signal CD is inputted. The device 4 turns on when the main power source 6 is turned on to perform an operation such as voice recognizing response according to the commands from the computer 1. When the voice recognizing response operation ends, the switch driving circuit detects the signal CD being caused after receiving a power-off command from the computer 1 to turn off the main power source 6, entering a stand-by state.</p> |
