PURPOSE:To improve stability of a position of a rotary shaft by forming a rotary shaft side magnet and an opposing fixed side magnet so that both magnets generate repulsive force to return to the original position respectively in case a position of the rotary shaft side magnet in opposition to a bearing side magnet is shifted. CONSTITUTION:Distribution of density of axial magnetic flux in opposing polar faces of both magnets 12, 13, of a radial magnetic bearing formed by a cylinder- shaped rotary permanent magnet 12 provided on a rotary shaft 11 and a cylindrical bearing permanent magnet 13 provided in opposition to the outer periphery of said magnet 12, is a combination of one (1a) which is conical with inclination to one side and one (1b) which is conical with inclination to the other side. Also, a similar magnetic bearing provided on the other end side of the rotary shaft 11 is formed so as to have distribution of density of a magnetic flux reverse to abovementioned one. Thus, stability of the rotary shaft position can be improved due to balancing of force operating, in directions reverse to each other, between magnetic bearings on both ends. |
