PURPOSE:To increase a torque in a low speed range of a motor, to increase the efficiency and to improve the responsiveness of the motor by driving a rotary reactor by an AC power source current, and rectifying and distributing the winding current of the reactor through a rectifier to the synchronous motor. CONSTITUTION:An AC power source 1 is connected to a rotary reactor 3 through a proportional control thyristor circuit 2 which has a voltage controlling function. The reactor 3 has a rotor 3a which has magnetic salient poles and an AC winding 3b provided on a stator 3c. A synchronous motor 5 has a rotor 5a formed of a permanent magnet, and an AC winding 5b provided at a stator 5c side, and mechanically coupled at the shaft of the reactor 3 with the shaft of the motor 5. |
