PURPOSE:To obtain a healthy food useful for preventing and remedying fatness, consisting of a residue prepared by extracting a defatted seed of leguminous plant with an acid and an alkali. CONSTITUTION:Seed of leguminous plant such as soubean, broad bean, peanut, etc. is defatted by a conventional procedure to give defatted seed, which is extracted with an alkali such as sodium hydroxide, potassium carbonate, etc. and an acid such as mineral acid, organic acid, etc., to give a material which is insoluble in the acid and the alkali is directly used or molded into any dosage form such as tablet, pill, powder, etc. |
