The invention relates to a watering device for pot plants, in particular flowers planted in earth, which essentially comprises a water-supply container and a receptacle which is arranged thereabove, is intended to accommodate the plants, and is in connection with the water-supply container. In order to ensure a water supply for the plants, over a relatively long period of time, which fits in with requirements as closely as possible, the invention proposes a watering device which is characterised by a flower-box-type receptacle (1) from which a closed water-supply container (2) is divided off in the lower half such that its base wall and rear wall and the side walls are formed by the walls of the receptacle (1) itself and that its front wall (8) is located at a distance from the front wall (9) of the receptacle and has spaced-apart, vertical slots (3). <IMAGE>
