A strap buckle comprises a one piece moulding of synthetic plastics including a base 2 having a snap fastener socket 9 on one face, the peripheral edges of the base being surrounded by a frame 3 having opposed side members integral with the opposed side edges of the base and opposed end members integral with the side members and spaced from the respective ends of the base to define strap receiving slots 4, 5, one end of the base and the end member of the frame at the other end of the base being formed with teeth 6 extending into respective slots for gripping a strap when the latter is threaded therethrough. In one construction the teeth are blunt and in another they have sharp pointed ends for biting engagement with the strap. The base is provided with reinforcing ribs 10 (not shown) and 7 on its faces and the socket is closed so that mud cannot enter it. |
