Method and product for stimulating the synthesis of the melanin pigment of the skin, especially for the treatment of vitiligo, and method of preparing this product

A compound of the alpha-lipoprotein type for stimulating the synthesis of the melanin pigment of the skin is prepared in order to cure vitiligo without toxic effect, with an efficacy which is irreversible after ceasing the treatment, by extracting this compound from human placental cotyledons by means of organic solvents, followed by filtration and then freeze-drying and dissolving in ethyl alchol. The compound is topically applied to the skin and then the treated part is exposed once daily to sunlight or ultraviolet light for 15 min.
