The profile strip for surrounding window panes has a first strip part (5) and at least one second strip part (6) made of rubber or plastic which is connected to the first in a non-detachable fashion. The strip part (5) consists of a relatively dimensionally stable, preferably metallic material and has a U-shaped cross-section with transverse slots (10) which are provided in the web (7) and are closely adjacent to one another. The strip part (6) covers at least the leg (8), resting on the outermost surface of the window pane (3), of the strip part (5) completely or in certain regions on the outside and projects beyond this leg (8) with a sealing lip (11) which fits tightly against the window pane (3). <IMAGE> |
