a. Spanning tractor for agricultural use, the chassis of which is able to span two rows of plants and comprises, on the sides, supporting jambs of sufficient height. b. The driving station 8 of this tractor - which comprises the seat 9 for the driver, the steering wheel 10 and the various control members - is mounted so as to slide in the longitudinal direction on the top of the chassis 1 in order to be able to occupy different positions. The steering wheel 10 is thus connected to the device for orienting the steering wheels by extensible or flexible connection means. As far as the other control members are concerned, they are also connected to the various other devices or apparatuses to be actuated, by extensible or flexible connection means. c. This tractor can thus be converted by modifying the position of the driving station in the longitudinal direction in order to be able to be used for different uses, at least some of which require the upper surface of the chassis to be freely available. <IMAGE>
