PURPOSE:To increase the power of magnetic connection by covering both or one of opposite faces of a drive member and a driven member constructing an operation gap for enclosing magnetic powder with high permeability material of amorphous metal. CONSTITUTION:When an electromagnetic coil 3 is electrified to generate magnetic flux in an operation gap 27 where there is magnetic powder 28, the rotational force of a drive member 1 is transmitted to a driven member 20 by the frictional force among magnetic powders and between the magnetic powder and an operation face. On inner circumferential faces of yokes 2a and 2b of the drive member 1 and the periphery of the driven member 20, constructing this operation gap, films 1' and 20' of amorphous metal of high permeability are respectively provided for intensifying the connection between the magnetic powder and the operation face at the time of the engagement of a clutch. This construction permits to increase the frictional force and the transmissive power. |
