PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of a stop position of a magnetic head rotating in the reverse direction by making it overstep-rotate by several steps once from a stop target position, and thereafter, returning it to a rotation in the reference direction, and subsequently, stopping it. CONSTITUTION:In case when a step direction command signal A from an external controller 1 is in an H level, a magnetic head is driven to rotate in the reverse direction. On the other hand, when a pulse of a driving command signal B is not inputted, it is detected by a computer 3, the magnetic head is overstep- moved by one step from a track 20 position in a state that the head is driven in the reverse position, subsequently, it is moved by steps of the same number as the time of overstep in the reference direction, and thereafter, a stepping motor 5 is stopped. Accordingly, the motor 5 is stopped at the same position as the position where the magnetic head is stopped at the time of moving in the reference direction. In this way, the accuracy of a stop position of the magnetic head can be improved. |
