PURPOSE:To extend the dynamic range of a tape at recording and reproduction by using a microcomputer so as to set a gain for every band to a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A signal such as music is inputted to a terminal 4. A signal for every frequency band is inputted to spectrum analyzers 9, 10 via graphic equalizers 5, 12. A signal level of each frequency band obtained by the spectrum analyzers is digitized at an A/D converter 14 and inputted to the microcomputer 15, which compares the level of the input signal and the MOL characteristic written in a memory 16, and when there exists any part having an excessive level, the graphic equalizers 5, 12 are adjusted. |
