PURPOSE:To save waste of processing time and to eliminate missing of information by discriminating an error of a compressing device and selecting and outputting a picture data or a compressed data based on the result of discrimination. CONSTITUTION:When a compression error occurs in the compressing device 3, an error signal (j) is outputted from the device 3 to a controller 9 and the device 3 stops the processing. When the compressed data for one line's share is finished for output from an output line buffer 4 to an output section 8, the controller 9 transmits an address signal (g) and a read/write signal (h) to an input line buffer 2 newly to output the picture data of the line where the error occurs from the head. The controller 9 outputs a gate selecting signal (m) and opens an AND circuit 5. Thus, the line in error by the device 3 outputs the picture data (b) in place of the compressed data (d) from the circuit 5 to the output section 8 via an OR circuit 7. In this case, the controller 9 informs that the output data (e) is the data (b) to the output section 8. |
