PURPOSE:To separate and recover Cu from concd. hydrochloric acid used to pickle an alloy contg. Cu by electrolyzing the concd. hydrochloric acid without using a diaphragm to deposit Cu contained in the acid on cathodes. CONSTITUTION:Concd. hydrochloric acid of 15-30% concn. used to pickle stainless steel contg. Cu or the like contains dissolved Cu as Cu ions. The acid is electrolyzed using plural cathodes made of Cu, Fe, C, Pb, stainless steel or like and an anode made of Pt, C or the like. In that case, plural cathode are used against to an anode, the current density of the anode is regulated to 0.2- 50A/dm<2>, and the current density of the cathodes is made as low as possible to deposit Cu on the cathodes. The concd. hydrochloric acid is regenerated as a pickling soln., and Cu contained in the acid is recovered. |
