摘要

A liquid-crystal display having improved steepness of the characteristic line is proposed in which organic radicals which contain a redox group are bonded to the surface of at least one of the two electrodes, the alignment of the crystals depending on the respective state of the redox system, and in which an electroconductivity which is sufficient for the current conduction necessary in the redox process is present.
